Cafe Juanita- Cafe Juanita has been a Kirkland staple since it opened its doors in 2000. Executive Chef Holly Smith utilizes sustainable, local ingredients to execute a menu that is inspired by the culinary wonders of Northern Italy. Cafe Juanita has a sleek exterior, a friendly staff, and offers an upscale experience. Their menu constantly changes based on what is in season and in the market, but you always know it’s going to be good.

Chainline Brewing Company- You can find Chainline’s brews in restaurants all over town, but it’s worth it to pay a visit to their brick and mortar. Chainline Brewing Company sits just off of the Cross Kirkland Corridor and emphasizes a fun, active lifestyle in their logo and ambiance. Beer recommendation? The Polaris Pilsner. But they’ve got a great food menu for snacking, too. The best part is that their taproom is kid and dog friendly!

Kathakali- Chef Ajay at Kathakali specializes in using fresh ingredients to make regional favorites from Kerala, a state along India’s Malabar Coast. Visit Kathakali for delicious pakoras, flavorful chutneys, and mouthwatering curries. The menu includes a lot of vegetarian options, as well as seafood dishes.

George’s- If you’re looking for brunch, you’re looking for George’s. George’s was started in 1976 by a husband and wife team, and serves up diner food with a Mediterranean twist. Not only have they stood the test of time, but George’s has won the “Best Breakfast” portion of the Best in Kirkland Contest multiple times.

Kitanda Espresso & Açaí- Kirkland has no shortage of good coffee. Whether you want a sleek modern espresso bar, a cozy hole in the wall, or an easy drive-through, Kirkland has coffee options. But Kitanda Espresso & Açaí stands out for their Brazilian bread (pão de queijo) and açaí bowls. To have a good cup of coffee alongside a delicious Brazilian staple, Kitanda is the best place to go.

Spicy Talk Bistro- Located in Totem Hill Plaza, Spicy Talk Bistro serves Szechuan cuisine. Prepare to get delicious Chinese dishes served by an ever-welcoming staff. Their noodles are hand-crafted and their sauces are made from scratch. Thanks to word of mouth, Spicy Talk Bistro has long been a favorite of Kirkland locals.
